African Americans and Research

October 10 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Free

This table will discuss African Americans and Research, from barriers to why some advocate that African Americans must be at the forefront of current research. As one researcher characterizes it, “[African Americans] need to be at the table or we’ll end up on the menu.” The Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute (WAI), All of Us Research Project and Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families (LIHF) will be on hand to talk about health issues facing African Americans and research programs trying to lead to better health care for all of us.
