Why did you sign up as a host for On the Table MKE?
The Greater Milwaukee Foundation has always been a great ally and friend of the Tandem since before we opened our doors, so any time they ask us to do something with them, we are happy to be a part of it! The restaurant is a great place for conversation between all different types of folks in Milwaukee, and we are looking forward to some interesting conversations.
For those who don’t know Tandem, can you share a bit about it?
The Tandem is a full service restaurant and bar in Milwaukee's Lindsay Heights neighborhood. We offer on-the-job training for all employees, from dishwasher to bar manager and head line cook. Our specialty is fried chicken, but we strive to offer plentiful vegetarian and health-conscious meal options as well.
How do you think On the Table MKE can benefit your business?
On The Table MKE is a great opportunity to introduce new people to our restaurant. In the process of inviting folks to join us for breakfast on the 17th, we have asked new people from all over the city – many of whom have never been to our neighborhood! In addition to inviting new faces to join us, the conversation that results from our meeting will hopefully inspire our guests to get more active in our community here in Lindsay Heights, which benefits us all!
What topic do you plan on bringing to the table?
I think we might just decide the day of ... a lot can happen in the world in just a few weeks 😉
